  A beautiful soap on a wooden soap dish gives your bathroom a much more elegant touch than a plastic soap dispenser.
  
  Wood on the sink – is that possible?
  My soap dishes are made of beautifully crafted olive wood. This is genuine handcraft and high-quality material. My soap dish is hand carved from a piece of olive wood. Only used trees that no longer bear fruit are used.
  
  With their modern shape, the soap dishes are ideal for using solid soap or bars of soap. At the same time, the grooves on the surface of the soap dish provide the necessary ventilation so that moisture does not build up on the soap dish and the soap does not "float" in the water for an unnecessarily long time. The olive wood used is particularly striking due to its beautiful, warm color. As a tasteful detail, the wood goes wonderfully with any other bathroom furniture of any color.
  
  The natural olive wood not only looks beautiful, but also has antibacterial properties. If well cared for, olive wood can last almost a lifetime.
  
  Cleaning and care
  Thoroughly remove soap or soap residue from the wood. Wipe the soap dish with a mild cleaner and lukewarm water. Pat dry well with a linen or kitchen towel.
  
  Since you are using the wooden soap dish in the bathroom, it is also advisable to regularly rub the soap dish with cooking oil (e.g. linseed oil). The oil is absorbed into the wood and thus naturally protects it from too much moisture and humidity.
  
  Note on soap dishes
  Soaps with certain ingredients can react with the tannic acid naturally contained in olive wood. This is comparable to a cut apple that turns brown when exposed to air. After a short time, the tannic acid is washed out and this phenomenon disappears completely. It does not occur at all in most soaps.

  I ship with Swiss Post. The prices given are the official prices and delivery times of Swiss Post.
  Whenever possible, I try to pack the things in order to get the best shipping price for you (small packages: up to 17.6 x 25 x 5 cm, maximum 250g including packaging). Unfortunately, this is not possible for every order.
  If you pay too much because the package is a small shipment, I will return the difference.
  
  About me
  All my products are handmade by me in very small batches in my studio in St. Gallen, Switzerland. My soap is cold process soap, which means I make the recipe from scratch with full control over all the ingredients. Each bar of soap is aged for 4 to 6 weeks. This ensures that all the water has evaporated and results in a harder bar of soap that lasts longer.
